A permanent magnet causes repulsionwith one pole when the poles are brought in turn near a suspendedmagnet. An unmagnetised magnetmaterial would be attracted to both poles.

fathima68: Is it important to write permanent magnet

Heya!
--------

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

▪Repulsion is a Sure Test Of Magnetism.

➡A Magnet as we know has 2 different poles . One is the North pole ( N ) and the other is the South pole ( S )

➡The Unlike Charges attract each other . If we bring two a North pole and South pole together , they will attract and stick to each other . This is called Attraction . But an un magnetized material would be attached to both the poles !

➡In a Magnet , the like poles Repel each other. If we bring two south poles together , they shall repel each other ! Similar is the case with two North poles . This property is called Repulsion .

Hence Repulsion is a Sure Test Of Magnetism
