Answer:

Let one no be x

other no be x+2

and third no.be x+4

now,

(x)+(x+2)+(x+4)=282

x+x+2+x+4=282

3x+6=282

3x=282-6

3x=276

x=276/3

x=92

HENCE 92 IS THE RIGHT ANSWER

Answer:

The smallest number is 92

Step-by-step explanation:

Given problem

The sum of three consecutive even numbers is 282. What will be the smallest number?

given that sum of three consecutive even numbers = 282

let 2x, 2x + 2 and 2x + 4 are be the three consecutive even numbers

⇒  2x + 2x + 2 + 2x + 4 = 282

⇒  6x + 6 = 282

⇒  6x = 282 - 6 = 276

⇒  x = 276 / 6 = 46

the three numbers are  2(46),  2(46)+2 + 2(46) + 4

                               ⇒    92, 94, 96

The smallest number is 92
