Aurangzeb's religious intolerance- Aurangzeb reimposed the Jazia tax for all non-Muslims to practice their religion.

Rise of the Mansabdars- The mansabdars took advantages of the weak success and became independent.

Rise of new powers- The Marathas and Jats and Sikhs were becoming powerful.

Aurangzeb's weak Successors- There was no powerful ruler after Aurangzeb. They lived a luxurious life with an inefficent administration.

Aurangzeb's Deccan campaign- Aurangzeb was away from the capital for a long time (25 years) made the administration weak. His conquests made the empire too vast and difficult to be administered.

Ruined Economy- They had to face long wars and for this they needed equipment which had cost a lot.

Foreign Invasions from Nadir Shah and Ahmad Shah Abdali further ruined the empire.
