current flowing through the circuit = 3 V/ 2 ohm = 1.5 ampere

in series combination ,same current will flow through the 3 ohm resistace i,e., 1.5 ampere

potential difference across 3 ohm resistor = IR

                                                                    = 1.5 ampere * 3 ohm =  4.5volt
