axes. The position vector of corner A is 125 m at 53° and corner C is 100 m at 37° from x axis. Find
the length of the fencing required in meter.

AB = DC = 100 cos(37°) - 125 cos(53°)

= 100 × 4/5 - 125 × 3/5

= 80 - 75

= 5 m

AD = BC = 125 sin(53°) - 100 sin(37°)

= 125 × 4/5 - 100 × 3/5

= 100 - 60

= 40 m

perimeter = 2×(40+5) = 90 m

length of fence = 90 m
