Answer:

3x+2 / (x+1)(x-3) = A / x+1 + B / x-3

3x +2 = A (x-3) + B (x+1)

A + B = 3 _____(1)

-3A + B = 2 ______(2)

Solve (1) and (2)

4A = 1

A = 1/4

Sub in (1)

1/4 +B = 3

B = 3-1/4

B = 11/4

Therefore 3x+2/(x+1)(x-3) = 1/4 (x+1) + 11/4 (x-3)
