Respiration
During respiration , carbon - dioxide is is given out along with a bit of moisture but the most important fact is that energy in the form of heat is also liberated in small amounts. Hence it is considered to be an exothermic reaction .
Decomposition of vegetable matter
The decomposition of vegetable matter leads to loss of little amounts of mass which is converted to energy in the form of heat. Hence it is exothermic reaction too.
Burning of natural gas
Combustion of organic compounds is always an exothermic reaction as it releases huge amounts of energy in the form of heat. This is because natural gas has a high calorific value .
Hope it helps !
