Yes, its not. Combustion is when a something burns in presence of oxygen to give out energy. Respiration is an amphibolic pathway. Things dont burn. The complex ones breakdown and undergo reactions to form something useful for our body.It is not a combustion process as it does not require heat and does not produce fire.
