Answer: WE ALL KNOW WHAT IS A PYTHAGOREAN TRIPLET. AS WE KNOW THAT THE GROUP OF ( 3, 4, 5 ) IS A PYTHAGOREAN TRIPLET, WE CAN CLEARLY SAY THAT THE PYTHAGORUS THEORM WILL BE APPLIED OVER HERE. ABD FROM HERE WE CAN CONCLUDE THAT THE TRIANGLE HAVING ITS SIDES AS 3,4 AND 5 CENTIMETER RESPECTIVELY WILL BE A RIGHT ANGLED TRIANGLE BECAUSE THE PYTHAGOREAN THEORM CAN ONLY BE APPLIED IN A RIGHT ANGLED TRIANGLE. Given :-

  • ratio of sides of a triangle is 3:4:5

Solution :-

let the sides of the triangle 3x , 4x and 5x

now, apply Pythagoras theorem

H² = B² + P²

  \bold{: \implies  {(5x)}^{2}  =  {(3x)}^{2}  +  {(4x)}^{2}  } \\  \\  \bold{: \implies 25 {x}^{2}  = 9 {x}^{2}  +16  {x}^{2}  } \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \bold{: \implies 25 {x}^{2}  = 25 {x}^{2} } \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

LHS = RHS

so, sides of triangle follow Pythagoras theorem means Pythagoras theorem can be applied on it.

hence, triangle is right angles triangle
