A man takes a baseball and throw it as hard as he can, there is nothing in front behind or either side,of him and yet the ball comes back and hits him square in the face

the man throws the ball in the sky and is looking at it so it hits him in his face hope it is correct and I did not know where to answer it so am commenting it here
