Right to information just means the right to know or freedom to access certain information. This will help in holding government accountable and contribute in minimizing corruption. Information held by public administrations is a fundamental human right which should be given effect at the state level. As numerous countries have embraced democratic standards and adopted engagements to more open, responsive state, so too has there been an escalation in the section of laws which have entrenched a legal right to access information.
