The distance between two consecutive crests is 3 cm

=> wavelength (L) = 3cm
============================

Ripples cover a distance of 25.2 cm in 1.2 sec

=> wave velocity = distance/time = 25.2/1.2 = 21 cm/s
===========================

velocity = frequency × wavelength

=> frequency = velocity / wavelength

=> frequency = 21/3 = 7 Hz

Thus,
wavelength = 3cm

frequency = 7 Hz

velocity = 21 m/s

\huge\boxed{{{Answer:-}}}

3 cm is the distance between two consecutive crests

3cm is the wavelength

___________________________________________________

25.2 cm in 1.2 sec is the ripples covered distance

25.2/1.2 = 21 cm/s = wave velocity = distance/time.

____________________________________________________

Formula:-

Velocity = frequency × wavelength

Frequency = velocity / wavelength

•°•Frequency = 21/3 = 7 Hz

Hence,

  • Wavelength = 3cm
  • Frequency = 7 Hz
  • Velocity = 21 m/s
