Rishi is working with his manager Manik, for five years. Manik always praised him for his performance and sincerity. Few members of the team secretly envied Rishi for the good professional relationship he shared with Manik, particularly those who were not as sincere and dedicated as Rishi. Because of their insecurities they started politicking against Rishi and ruined his image in the eyes of Manik. As a result, Manik often criticized Rishi publicly. Initially Rishi ignored this, but soon he realized that this was happening in almost every formal meeting. He was finding it very humiliating and demoralizing, and this was taking a toll on his performance. Nikita, the HR manager noticed the deterioration in Rishi’s performance. When she talked to him, he narrated the entire story to her. He also expressed his wish to quit his job. Nikita was worried and shocked to know this. She decided to do something about this as she did not want to loose sincere and committed employee like Rishi. She knew she had to break the conditioning first, but how?
Had you been in place of Nikita, what learning model would you have used to improve the situation and how
