river water is clear when sea water is muddy eventhough both contains mud and sand.why

One of the most important reasons for the clarity of the sea water is the dilution process.

Silt and the mud supplied get dissolved into the water and settle down.

Although the silt moves with the ocean current, it doesn’t rise up the surface.

You can notice the mud if you analyze the sea water carefully while walking along the beach.
