In India rivers like Ganga are worshipped by the Hindus. But in the mane of worship, lots of flowers,etc are thrown in the rivers. so they are polluted.

Because Indians are very traditional to maintain their rights for God's and others who r not like them they throw garbage,dump,swage etc and polite water
