'Rivers play a major role in enhancing the economy of a country.' Yes , agree with this sentence. As in river area, the lands are plain and fertile. In plains the people gathering is land than any other area.

Due to annual flooding in river , it replenish the soil which is good for cultivation too. For a country, good results for the cultivation of crops is highly benefit in economy.

As people gathering , their are lots of business there. Industries are quite high there. Where there is lots of industries,there is lots of development. Thus,Rivers play a major role in enhancing the economy of a country
