Riya walks 5/6 km towards the east

then she walks 1 3/8 km towards the west

1 \frac{3}{8}  =  \frac{11}{8}

in order to find the net distance covered

 \frac{11}{8}  -  \frac{5}{6}  =  \frac{66 - 40}{48}  =  \frac{26}{48}

the net moment of Riya will be 26/48 km towards the west

I hope this helps ( ╹▽╹ )
