poet describes the road as yellow wood as the sun light falls on the trees and seems to be yellow .He is sad as he cannot travel both the roads .He says that he took the 2nd road and describes-fair,grassy(as not one had travelled much through it )He then decides to keep the 1st road for another day . But still had a doubt about the 2nd road .He says the thing made difference was that he took the road that was less travelled by the people .In this poem poet compares the road with the difficulties and the challenges we had to face in our future career.
