Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

hello dear,

let the age of robin = x

so, fathers age = x+25

according to question

after 10 years

x+10+x+25+10  = x+2x

2x +45 = 3x

45 =3x-2x

x = 45

robin's age = 45

father's age = 45+25= 70years

thank you.............

GIVEN

Robin is 25yrs younger than his father.

After 10yrs their ages will be in ratio 1:2

TO FIND Their Present Ages

SOLUTION

Let age of Robin be x

Then age of his father is x + 25

According to the Question ,

(x + 10) / (x + 25 + 10) = 1/2

=>( x + 10)/(x + 35) = 1/2

=> 2(x + 10) = x + 35

=> 2x + 20 = x + 35

=> 2x - x = 35 - 20

=> x = 15

If age Robin is 15yrs then age of his father is 15 + 25 = 40yrs (ANS)

VERIFICATION

Ages after 10yrs

Robin = 15 + 10 = 25yrs

Father = 40 + 10 = 50yrs

Ratio = 25:50 = 1:2 , which is given in data

Hence our answer is Correct
