  • The elders of the village enjoyed the fragrance of the loaves and the children enjoyed the music of the bamboo.The villagers were very fond of the sweet bread known as ‘Bol’, that were given as marriage gifts. Cakes, bolinhas, and sandwiches  were a must for Christmas and other festivals, as well. These were made with the bread.
