Rohan caught a prize fish last Sunday. He was going to measure it but realized that his ruler was not long enough. He was able to measure the head and discovered that it was 9cm long, he then measured the tail and found that it was the length of the head plus half the length of the body. If the body was the length of the head plus the tail, what is the total length of the fish?

Step-by-step explanation:

As per data given in the questions,

We have to determine the value of total lenght of fish

As per questions,

it is given that,

length of head is 9cm

length \: of \: tai l = length \: of \: head \: + \frac{1}{2} of \: length \: \: of \: body

and

length\: of \: body \: = lenth \: of \: tail + length \: of \: head

To find length of fish

length \: of \: fish = length \: of \: head \: + length \: of \: tail \: + length \: of \: body

according to given condition

put condition one in condition two we will get length of body

it will be 36cm

hence

total \: length \: of \: fish \: = 9 + 36 + 9 + 18

it will be 72cm

Hence, the value of the required quantity will be 72 cm
