In Ist case speed- 12 1/2= 25/2 km/hr
Time taken - (aX2)/25 = 2a/25 hrs
In second case speed- 15 km /hr
Time taken - a/15
As we know difference between time taken in both condition =3+5= 8 min = 8/60 hrs
So
2a/25 - a/15 = 8/60
=2a/25 -a/15 = 2/15
=2a-5a/75 =2/15
=15a= 150
=a = 10
So distance is 10 km
