Rohan has some books and some tables if he puts 9 books in each tabel he will have 2 tabels left vacant if he puts 6 books in each tabel he will have 3 books left .find the number of books

Let Rohan has x tables.Then by the given condition,
9(x-2)=6x+3
or, 9x-18=6x+3
or, 9x-6x=3+18
or, 3x=21
or, x=7
No. of books =6x+3
=(6×7)+3
=45
∴, rohan has 7 tables and 45 books. Ans.
