Role of bus controller in multiprocessor system small answers

In Multiprocessors environment single common-bus system is limited to one transfer at a time. Hence multiple bus concepts have been implemented.

Purposes of system bus controller are as follows:

• System bus controller connects to local bus as well as common system bus.

• System bus controller hence provides a common connecting bus device between local and common system bus.

• All the CPU’s now can easily communicates to other devices through the bus controller. Single bus controller problem of one transfer at a time is solved with bus controller.
