He was a renowned social reformer, politician and jurist. Ambedkar is called the Father of Indian Constitution.
He was born in a family of Mahar caste of Hindu household, which is viewed as a caste of untouchables.
Due to caste discrimination, Ambedkar had to face a lot of discrimination in the society from time-to-time.
Ambedkar was the founder member of the Independent Labour Party. Later, the name was changed to Scheduled Castes Federation by Babasaheb and later evolved as the Republican Party of India.
His party fought the 1937 Bombay election to the Central Legislative Assembly for 13 reserved and four general seats, he won 11 and 3 seats respectively.
Babasaheb was appointed as the Union Law Minister and Chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee.

Dr Babasaheb Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was a highly educated Indian.During the Time British were rulling India, the Indian society was struggling for Independence at same time The Indian society was struggling to get rid over some of the problems inside the society as well.The most problematic issues were lack of education , especially for girl children and the Caste-Untouchability factor which was arose out of the 1000 years of foreign Rules.The beauty of the Indian society is,it is always prone to reform itself.And the reformists always take birth in its land in the time of needs.Dr Ambedkar was one among them,who tried to change the then system.He read the ancient Sanskrit Texts and brought the Original System,where there was no Untouchability and Anti Women education Stand in the past.He also emphasised that, India must awake to its ancient glory by overcoming the Islam and Christian torture hangovers.He himself embarrassed Buddhism,which is a reformist Hindu way of life,and condemn the Caste-Untouchability system along with his followers.He was lured and unsuccessfully persuaded By Pastors and Maulabis to got converted into their respective religions,he simply denied them by saying ,as they are foreign religion,and the problems in India has solution in India too.He was a strong critic of Communism and Once Said that, I will stand as a wall between Communism and Poors of India.He also proved that the Aryan invension theory was a propaganda to devide the Indians.There was no such fact that,there was Dravidas living in the land,and Aryan came invading India.
He played an important role in drafting the Constitution of India,He,for his talent,was made to be the Chairman of the 7 members drafting committee.One of the lesser known facts is that, during the drafting of the Constitution ,he was approched by the Sheikh Abdulaa,on the Advice of Jawaharlal Nehru to draft the Article 370.And it is on record that Ambedkar become very angry and shouted at Sheikh by saying that,do u want me to do betrayal with my own people by drafting such an Anti India article!
