He is one of the most underrated among the freedom fighters. His knowledge and wisedom is among the best in Congress at that time. Fierce anti partition proponent he was among the last of the major leaders to not support or agree to partition. Even Mahatma Gandi finally agreed to partition and still then he was opposed to it knowing fully well what a huge disaster it would turn out to be.
He was very truthful and frank and criticised many of Gandhi's actions esp the Quit India movement which turned out to be a political disaster and ended up with Congress top leadership in jails in what was a critical period in which Pakhistan supporters gained mileage and support for Partition.
