The Police don’t help in maintaining Law and Order. It is their prime duty. Law and Order situations are varied. Most important and sensitive is the Law and Order situation having Communal Color. Every Police station and Police District has a special cell called Special Cell who deal with and responsible for watching and collecting intelligence regarding Political and Communal situation mainly. The Police station have handful of such Plain Clothes Policemen under an officer who collect wand watch the Communal, Political and Labor related issues. During such events, these special Units provide clues and developments that prompt the concerned for taking preventive steps like detaining the known trouble makers from the area under reference, holding meetings with elders from the community fro both sides to urge them to use their weight in that regard, deployment of enough Police Force at the actual event. On similar lines other issues related to Law and Order are handled.
