India's rail network is the third-longest and the most heavily used system in the world, transporting 8.225 billion passengers and over 970 million tonnes of freight annually, as of 2015. The railways transport about 18 million citizens daily.

Currently a developing india is facing a crisis in transportation. People are not satisfied with the old services which were offered so a number of new innovative ways are coming up. To tap the growing market offered by Indian government many new innovati companies and Ida's are comming up. These are a few of them.

bullet train the pet project of Shri Narender Modi. There are plan to set up 9 corridors which one is already in construction other are in design phase.India railway plans to introduce Maglive trains. And are consulting international companies with plans to start its construction in Next three years.Plans to start luxury double decker buses which run on alternate fuel.To introduce dedicated corridors for electric trucks which draw energy from overhead electric wires.Plans to introduce PRT or pod taxi in many indian cities with 1 international company planning to set it up. Many Indian cities are already in line.to introduce a network of monorail, LRT , BRTS etc.While introducing SkyBus in Himachal Pradesh in Dharamshala.

Their are also plans to revamp old railway network to world class stations.

More metro tracks are being laid in cities.

But they all sound good on paper, we Indians don't know wether they will make it to us or not.
