1). women have always been active participants in the events in the French society.
2). women of the 3rd estate had to work for their living.they didn't had access to education and job training.the wages of women were low in comparison of men.
3). in order to discuss and voice women started to make their own political clubs and newspapers.
4). about sixty women's club came up in different French cities.the society of revolutionary and Republican women was the most famous of them.
5). one of their main demands was that women should also enjoy the same political rights as men.they were disappointed with the Constitution of 1791 as it declared all women as passive citizens.they demanded the right to vote, to be elected as electors and to hold the political offices.knlh then they would feel that their interests are represented in the new Constitution.
6). as a result the revolutionary govt introduced some laws that help to improve the lives of women:–
a)education was made compulsory for all girls.
b)father's could not force their daughters for marriage against their will.
c)marriage was made into a contract entered freely and registered under civil laws.
d)divorce was made legal and can be applied from both the side that is, by men and even by women.
e)women could now be trained for jobs , could become artists and do small businesses.
