British Police Head: (calls out) Charge! The other police start beating. Most of them run away. Even Kumaran runs but sees the National Flag about to fall on the ground. He saves it from falling but gets hit by a policeman and falls to the ground holding the Flag erect. He is beaten up to death by the police force and while dying also, he held the flag high. He is named as “Kodi Katha Kumaran” after this incident.

GOPINATH: Assembly elected a set of leader's to form a DRAFTING COMMITTEE on 29 August 1947 . This DRAFTING COMMITTEE was given the task of making laws . These sets of laws together will be called our INDIAN CONSTITUTION.

THIS is the 26th January 1950,has been fixed for the commencement of the said constitution. Now therefore it is hearby proclaimed that from this date the twenty sixth day of January 1950 ,India that is Bharat Shall be sovereign Democratic republic and all powers and the function of government and administration in accordance with the provisions of the said constitution.
