Solution,
No. of walls of the cabinet painted = 4 walls + ceiling
Length = 1.5 m
Breadth = 2 m
Height = 1.5 m
Therefore, the area painted = LSA of the cuboid + (Length x breadth)
= 2 (lh + bh) + lb
[Substituting the values]
= 2 [(1.5 x 1.5) + (2 x 1.5)] + (1.5 x 2)
= 2 [2.25 + 3] + 3
= 2 x 5.25 + 3
= 10.5 + 3
= 13.5m³
Therefore, Roohi has to paint 13.5m² of the total doll house.
Surface Areas and Volume of a Cuboid:
→ LSA = 2 (lh + bh)
→ TSA = 2 (lh + bh + lb)
→ Volume = lbh
