=(sqrt (5) -2)^2 - (sqrt (5) +2)^2 whole thing ÷ (sqrt (5)+2)(sqrt(5)-2)

=-4× sqrt5 × 2 ÷ 5-4

=-8× sqrt5

identities used: (a+b)(a-b)= a squared - b squared [used in denominator]

(a+b)^2 - (a-b)^2 = 4ab [numerator]
