Roots of a plant are mainly used for the intake of water and minerals from the soil. The extra food in the form of glucose rains stored in the plant and used later on. Transporation and respiration occurs through stomata in the leaves of the plant.

Bcoz plants do not have sophisticated organ system for excretion as the animals. They simply excrete by diffusion(gases) or releasing waste products through root cell walls, barks, and other routes. Whereas animals have well-defined excretory system for removing unwanted materials.
