Yes,root system is present in Maize plants.

It is fiborous root system.

These are monocot,have parallel venations...

For the first 2-3 weeks following germination the primary root and the seminal roots comprise the bulk of the seedling root system. In some varieties of maize, seminal roots never grow or are retarded in their development; the initial root system is therefore de- rived almost exclusively from the primary root.
