Roses appear Red but leaves appear green because as you know Rose is a flower and the main function of the flower to reproduce, and for reproduction plants need pollination.

Pollination is the process of transferring pllens from one flower to another.

The Bright colours of rose attracts various insects and animals. These animal in attraction stick to the flowers and some pollen sticks on their body. Then these animals reaches to another flower in attraction which leaves the stocked pllens from there body to flower. This is the reason why nature had made Roses red.

Another reason is that rose have the pigment cyanin which gives them this colour.
