Solution:

Steps to round off the numbers:

• Write all the digits towards the right of digit which is to be rounded off as 0.
• If the digit on the right of number which is to be rounded off is 5 or more then add 1 to the digit otherwise leave unchanged.
• Leave rest of the digits unchanged.

(i) 4,065 ; hundred

The given digit is to be rounded off to nearest hundreds place i.e., the digit to be considered is 0.

Now, the number has digit 6 on right of 0, which is greater than 5. So, we will add 1 to 0. We get, 0 + 1 i.e., 1 and write all the digits on right side as 0, leaving 4 unchanged.
