The number is 0.005

Reason :

  • Rounding off is a process of altering digits of a number by keeping its value intact but closer to the next number.
  • We know, If the digit at the righthand side of the decimal is greater or equal to 5, then we'll add +1 to the digit preceding the number which is greater or equal to 5.
  • For example - 0.127 after rounding off can be written as 0.13, this is because 7 is greater than 5 so we have to add +1 to the digit preceding 7, So (2 + 1) = 3. Hence 0.127 can be written as 0.13 after rounding off.

∴ The answer for this question would be 0.005 because after rounding it off, we get 0.01 and if we multiply 0.005 with 2 we get the same value i.e., 0.01.
