Aim:

To find the Roy's age multiplied with Iris's age.

Solution:

Let us consider:

R for Roy

E for Erik

I for Iris

Roy is 4 years older than Erik

R=E+4 ------> 1.

While, Roy is half of that amount older than Iris

R=I+4/2

R =I+2

In 2 years,

Roy will be twice as old as Erik

R+2 = 2(E+2)

Then in 2 years

what would be Roy’s age that is multiplied by Iris’s age?

(R+2) (I+2)=?

R=6

I=4

(R+2) (I+2)=48

So the age of Roy that is multiplied with Irish is 48.
