P = ₹1200
R = 4%
For doubling itself, simple interest should be equal to principal or
SI = ₹1200
SI = PTR/100
1200 = 1200×T×4/100
T = 1200×100/(1200×4)
T = 25 YEARS
IT WILL DOUBLE ITSELF IN 25 YEARS.

hi,
formula to be used
I = PRT/100
here P =1200 ( given )
and R = 4%
and I = double the P as it is given
therefore I = 2 ×P = 2 × 1200 = 2400
now to find T
therefore
I = PRT/100
100I /PR = T { bringing 100 and PR to LHS}
T = 100(2400)/1200 × 4
T = 50
therefore it will take 50 years
bye
hope you like it
