Let B and C together recieve Rs.x.
Therefore, A gets Rs.(3/8)x.
But, their shares should add to Rs.4400 so,
x+(3/8)x =4400,
=> (11/8)x =4400,
=> x=4400×(8/11),
=> x=400×8
=> x=3200
Hence, A's share =Rs.(3/8)x =Rs.(3/8)×3200 =Rs.3×400 =Rs.1200[Answer]
