\therefore SI = Amount - Principal

 = > 7975 - 5500 = 2475

We \: know \: SI \: = \frac{P \times R\times T}{100}

 = > 2475 = \frac{5500 \times R \times 5}{100}

 = > \frac{2475 \times 100}{5500 \times 5} = R

 = > R \: = \frac{2475 \times 100}{5500 \times 5}

 = > \frac{2475}{275}

 = > R \: = \: 9
