QUESTION:

Rui Feng is 168 m tall and his younger brother is 105 cm tall. Find the ratio of

(i) Rui Feng's height to his brother's height,

(ii) Rui Feng's height to the total height of both boys.

ANSWER:

1. Height of Rui is 168 m

height of his younger brother is 105 cm

We have to find;

 \frac{rui \: fengs \: height}{his \: brother \: height}

as we have find the ratio of similar units so, we have to convert either metre into centimetres or centimetres into metre.

1m = 100 cm

so,

168 m = 168×100 cm

168 m = 16800 cm

now, putting the value

 \frac{16800cm}{105cm}

 \frac{160}{1}

HENCE ratio is

160:1

ANSWER 2 :

Sum of height of Rui heights and his younger brother = 16800 + 105 cm = 16905 cm

We have to find :

 \frac{rui \: feng \: height}{total \: heigt \: of \: both \: persons}

putting the value :

 \frac{16800cm}{16905cm}

 \frac{3360}{3381}  =  \frac{1120}{1127}

FINAL ANSWER :

1.

\huge\red{160:1}

2.

\huge\red{1120:1127}
