Rukshar painted the outside of the cabinet of measure 1m x 2m x 1.5m. How much surface area did she cover if she painted all except the bottom of the cabinet?
1m is the width, 2m is the length and 1.5m is the height.

A cabinet has 6 surfaces including bottom surface.

However, we have to paint only 5 surfaces.

So, we have one front and one back surface (2×1.5),

one left and one right surface (1×1.5) and one upper surface (2×1).

So, area to be painted is

=(2×(2×1.5))+(2×(1×1.5))+(2×1)

=11 sq. m
