Structure of present perfect tense :
Sub.+has/have+V3+object .

Formation :
1) Affirmative :
Sub.+has/have+V3+object .
Eg. • I have lost my pen .
• she has finished her work .

2) Negative :
Sub.+has/have + not+V3+object .
Eg. • I have not lost my pen.
• she has not finished her work .

3) Imperative :
Has/have+sub.+V3+object+?
Eg. • have I lost my pen?
• Has she finished her work?

4) Imperative and negative:
Has/have+sub.+not +V3+object+?
Eg . • have I not lost my pen?
• How she not finished her work?

5) 'Wh' family sentence :
Wh+Has/have+sub.+V3+object+?
• when have I lost my pen ?
• when has she finished her work?

★ Uses:
This tense is used with words like yet, as yet, so far, ever since, already, just, now, presently, once, twice, etc. and in the following cases:

• To denote an action which has just Been completed :
Eg. I have sold two questions so far .
my friend has returned from Mumbai presently .

• To express election having taken place in the past and continuing in the present:
Eg. I have known him for 3 years .
We have lived here for 10 years .
