Hi there,

Given

***********

S percentage = 43.4

S atomic mass = 33

C percentage = 11.3

C atomic mass = 12

O percentage = 43.3

O atomic mass = 16

*****************************

☆ Calculate number of moles (n) by dividing element persentage over atomic mass

n(S) = 43.4 ÷ 32 = 1.356 mol

n(C) = 11.3 ÷ 12 = 0.94 mol

n(O) = 43.3 ÷ 16 = 2.7 mol

☆ Calculate mol ratio by dividing all moles over the lowest mol value which is 0.94

S ratio is 1.5

C ratio is 1

O ratio is 2.9~ 3

☆ To correct the fraction myltipl2 by 2

☆ The empirical formula is

《S3C2O6 》
