Endangered refers to those species, which are in the danger of getting extinct as their number have been declined to the extent that they can be completely wiped out in the future. Endemic refers to a native species of a particular area that is present/ found in that area only.

1. A species which is no longer present in its original range or as a distinct species any longer is called extinct species. It was previously living and existent but has now vanished from Earth. Eg : Dinosaurs, Dodo.

2. Endemic species are those which are only found in some particular areas usually isolated by natural or geographical barriers. Eg : Andaman Wild pig, Mithun in Arunachal Pradesh.
