name these test tubes as A,B and C
now put red litmus paper in test tube A if it change colour To blue then it means there is basic solution in test tube A. if it doesn't change colour then it means A can we acidic or distilled water.
now put the red litmus paper in test tube B if the colour change to blue then it is basic.
it means in any of the deciduous the colour changes from red to blue it means that test tube consists of basic solution and when we put this blue litmus paper in any of the two other rest test tubes and change colour from blue to again red then it means that test tube consist of acidic. and where there is no change it means that test tube consists of distilled water.
We can identify the content in each of the test tubes using red litmus paper. This can be done by noticing the colour change of the red litmus paper.
- On litmus paper, few drops of the three solutions in the test tubes are added separately.
- The solution which turns red litmus paper to blue contains a basic solution.
- Divide the obtained blue litmus paper into two parts.
- The solution from the test tube which turns blue litmus paper to red will be the acidic solution.
- Solution of the test tube which do not change either red or blue litmus paper contain water.
