Free Fall:
A body is said to be free fall when only gravitational force acts on that body.

Equations of motion for a free fall object:
For free fall=u=0;
s=h
a=g
t=t
hence second  equation of motion [ s=ut +1/2 at²]  changes into:
h=0+1/2gt²
h=1/2gt²
