S3=2

S7=4

hence S3+s6=6 and s3×s7=8

S3= a+2d=2. --->1

s6= a+6d=8. --->2

subtracting 1 and 2

d=1/2

substituting in 1

a+2(1/2)=2

a+1=2

a=1

hence s16=a+15d=1+15(1/2)=8.5 or 17/2
