Being social can be both conscious and unconscious. When the children are with their family members or in an institution, the reactions children create are mostly contemplated under conscious behavior.

Here, mothers and educators guide their kids on how to behave and the distinction among right and wrong, while unconscious socialization is created when the same children communicate with strangers.

Here, their responses to several people have the various impact and no rule is observed. It is completely unconscious of how do we meet strangers and make them a familiar. While conscious socialization happens due to the consistent instruction of parents and teachers, unconscious socialization happens through mass media.

Answer:

When it comes to socialization process, it is both unconscious and conscious.

With the school and family, much socialization happens consciously.

The parents tell the kids consciously the right as well as desired behaviour form.

Often, they are punishment and rewards from the wrong and right behaviour respectively that reinforces the conscious socialization process.

The major segment of socialization happens through the observation that is actually termed as the unconscious socialization.
